Respect as Citizens

We must develop respect for ourselves and for others as citizens, as well as respect for laws and our environment.

Discuss a quote by Martin Luther King, Jr., as a class and try to understand what he meant by it.

After you have completed the attached worksheet, discuss with your teacher and classmates new and different ways you can show respect to yourself, your neighbors, your environment, and laws.  Tell your teacher if there are any ways that you are disrespectful and what you think you can do to change these behaviors.
